Hello,
I'm 23 years old and I have had two children and I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me the total cost on getting a full tummy tuck?

I also need to know if this type of surgery is rebuted from Medicare? I have also been thinking about this surgery for sometime now and I have tried everything to get rid of my tummy.

I would love to hear from someone soon.    Smiley

Kind Regards,
brandy

Hello,

The cost of tummy tuck depends on different factors - usually the cost involves facility fee, cost of surgical instruments and other surgical material, also anesthesia.

Usually, the cost of full tummy tuck can vary from 6.500$ to 8.500$

For additional information please read : http://www.cosmeticmiracles.com/tummy_tuck/tummy_tuck_cost_and_prices.html

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about Medicare and can not give the answer..

Btw if  you find out that  it's rebuted from Medicare let us know. This  would be useful for all members of this forum.

Thanks

Hello everyone
Yes you can claim some medicare rebate for a full abdominoplasty, most surgeons will give the procedure a medicare item number, so medicare and private health insurance will cover nearly all the cost of the hospital stay and theatre fees. The main gap will be the surgeons fee - around $3000. email me if you want any more info.

Hi I'm new to the board. I have a consultation to see a plastic surgeon about abdominoplasty on April 10th and I"m also wondering about what I could possibly get my insurance to cover. I had laparoscopic surgery almost 4 years ago to have my gallbladder removed and I was told by that surgeon at my follow up that I had a hernia. I never got anything done about it so I am also wondering if this is going to be a problem. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
